Hebei United University and North China Coal Medical university has merged into one very large prestigious government university recognized by WHO and one of the top universities of china located in Tangshan, the most promising city at the center of Bohai Bay Rim, is one of the ten key universities of Hebei Province, only couple of hours drive from Beijing with the Yanshan Mountains on the north and the Bohai sea on the south. HUU is one of the very lowest fee in WHO listed University. The university offers 28 programs and grants medical and science degrees to students. It is a comprehensive university taking engineering and medicine as the backbone and pursuing a harmonious development of engineering, medicine, sciences, economics, management, law and humanities. Education programs are provided for masters, bachelors, international students and adult students. Originally named as North China Coal Medical College was founded in 1926 by a British Surgeon. In August of 1998, it was transformed into a university co-administered by the government of Hebei province as well as the Coal Ministry, and primarily administered by the former.

It has 1651 teachers including 326 professors and 494 associate professors. 232 teachers hold doctoral degrees. 80 scholars are awarded honorary titles by the State, Province and Ministry of Education. 13 academicians are employed to work part-time. The university consists of 31 colleges, offering 76 undergraduate programs, 138 master programs including 4 professional degree programs and 12 masters of engineering programs. 10 specials are approved as state level characteristic specialties including MBBS; 12 disciplines are approved provincial key disciplines; Five key laboratories and research centers of Hebei Province are established in the university. Hebei United University is recognized by WHO and the graduates of MBBS program are eligible to take the Medical Licensing Examinations held by the medical councils in different countries such as MCI, USMLE, MMC, CCM, NMC etc.

Hebei United University Affiliated Hospitals
Now it has 12 affiliated hospitals. One Affiliated Hospital of North China Coal Medical College, established in 1965, it, located in Tangshan, the open city in the belt of "Surrounding the Bohai Sea, Surrounding Beijing and Tianjin", is a large hospital, the only province-level hospital in the city. It is furnished with 613 beds, staffed with 883 workers, of whom 721 are medical professionals, 51 being master's mentors and 7 awarded with state-endowed allowance. It has become a general hospital of Grade 3 and Level I which integrates medical care, teaching, scientific research and prevention, not only offering the good healthcare service for the Tangshan local residents but also providing a great number of advanced medical workers for Hebei Province and for the national coal industry. Hebei United University MBBS Degree
On completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations successfully, international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by the HEUT, if they meet the degree regulations of the university. The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine. According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first. A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities. Except this, one can also start his own clinic or pursue study for masters degree.

The flat for foreign students of the university is in the Central Campus, which consists of 2 grades.
