University of Dhaka or Dhaka University is a public university located in the city of Dhaka, Bangladesh. This university was established in the year 1921 by the Nawab Bahadur Sir Khwaja Salimullah. The main aim of the university was to create diverse areas of knowledge and to help society. This university has many scholars working as faculty members and enriching the global pool of knowledge by making notable contributions in the research and teaching fields. This university was part of India before Independence and then became part of Pakistan till the Independence of Bangladesh (1971). This university is comprised of 83 departments with 13 faculties and 37000+ students and 2000 teachers (approx).
