Taishan University (TSU) is located at the foot of the world famous Taishan which enjoys the reputation of The World Natural and Cultural Heritage. TSU is a full-time comprehensive undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China in 2002. It has a long history of more than 50 year’s higher education from 1958.

Comprising two campuses: Main Campus and South Campus, TSU covers an area of 918, 666 square meters with a floor space of 470 thousand square meters including high standard teaching buildings, laboratories, libraries, a gymnasium and a student centre. TSU enjoys a teaching and administrative staff of 1250 and its full-time student population totals up to 17.8 thousand.

TSU currently has 17 schools and 1 College English Teaching Department, 59 undergraduate degree programs and 34 professional training programs in total. Courses are offered in 9 major academic fields: literature, science, engineering, management, law, history, education, economics and art studies, among which, the fields of literature, science, education and management have been offered for several decades and have become influential in Shandong Province and further in China.

Quite unlike most tertiary institutions, Tansian University was not born out of a desire to make name and acquire material wealth, but to fulfil an innate desire to develop youths and empower them for the challenges of a changing world. To achieve this, the Father-Founder Very Rev. Msgr Prof. John Bosco Akam started the development process from kindergarten, primary to secondary schools education as well as the destitute and physically challenged institutions which explain why he is popularly known as Father of Enlighten and Legend of Education. To extend the scope of youths, Prof Akam founded Tansian University, named after a rare African First Nigeria to be beatified – Blessed Cyprain Michael Iwene Tansi.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.

Required documents may vary according to the Chinese university and program of choice (non-degree, bachelors, masters or Ph.D.). However, these are the most basic that you can prepare:

• Passport copy
• Graduation certificate
• Passport size photo
• Official transcript
• Two recommendation letters (written and signed by your teachers/professors with their contact details)
• Personal statement letter
• Physical examination form
• Once submitted, we will review your application within 2 to 3 days and liaise with the University of your Choice.
• Should there be a need to submit additional documents, we will contact you.
• You also need to pay your application fee.
• Every university requires a fee to process your application.
• Covered in the payable amount is the postal fee and applying for visa application (JW202 form).
• The fee is non-refundable; therefore, it will not be returned the university declines your application.
• All documents must be in English or Chinese. If using other languages, secure a notarized translation.
• Wait for your unique application ID and feedback.
• Once you’ve completed all three steps above, you will receive a unique application ID.
• The majority of Chinese universities take around 4 to 6 weeks to review your application. Make sure to check your email during this period as they might contact you directly to ask for more information.
• We know waiting can be nerve-racking. China Admissions will follow up on your university application and provide you with regular updates.
• Applicants will receive a Letter of Admission for International Students of Taishan University and the Application Form for International Students of Taishan University. The applicants may apply for the student-visa through Chinese Embassies.

TAISHAN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY FEES

When preparing to study in China, it is important to calculate how much money you will need to cover for your expenses. Some universities require students to provide a letter from whoever is paying the fees to guarantee that they can cover the cost of the program. It is in nobody’s interest for a student to drop out of the program because they haven’t budgeted properly.

The good news is that the cost of studying and living in China is comparatively low to other countries, as an example, the subway in Beijing costs 3-5 RMB for each trip, and you can buy a beer for the same price (the cost of textbooks are low too.)

– Accommodation – this depends on whether you are staying on-campus or off-campus.

– Other living expenses – what other things do you like to do in your spare time? Playing a sport, going out to bars or restaurants.

Note:

Students are required to pay fees by Chinese Currency to the university upon students’ arriving in China and registration at university by themselves or Telegraphic Transfer through bank in US Dollar which equal value CNY to the university bank account. You shall make up the amount if the Currency Exchange Rate difference or intermediate bank service charge deduction upon your registration at the university.
