Silliman University is a private research university in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, the Philippines. Silliman university was founded in 1901 as Silliman Institute by the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, it is the first American and Protestant founded institution of higher learning in the Philippines. The Silliman University Medical School(SUMS) is an educational department of Silliman University (SU) which is a private university, in Dumaguete City, Philippines. Founded on March 20, 2004, the school managed to carry classes at a two-stored division beside the Angelo King Allied Medical Sciences Center inside the SU Campus.
