To aid in reducing the financial strain of students enrolled into Segi University courses:

SEGi High Achiever's Scholarship (HAS):

SPM/O-Levels, STPM/Local Matriculation/A-Levels, and UEC school leavers who have achieved outstanding results are entitled to the High Achievers Scholarship (HAS) when they register to enroll into SEGi.

The HAS will cover percentage of the new students’ tuition fees based on their results:

NOT applicable to AHS & Health Science programmes

All applicants are to be interviewed and approved by SEGi Management

SPM/O-Level students who scored all As in all registered subjects (less than 10 subjects) may be considered for 100% scholarships on a case-by-case basis.

Criteria

Malaysian citizen, aged below 25 years. Recommendation by the school principal or headmaster would be advantageous. NOT applicable for Health Sciences programmes is required to meet a minimum CGPA of 3.70 every semester to continue the scholarship.

SEGi Sports Scholarship:

Talented Malaysian athlete who participates at State or National level sporting events. State level athlete is entitled to 25% rebate and National athlete is entitled to 50% rebate on tuition fees. Verification by sports association is necessary. Applicant must represent SEGi College or University in MAPCU games or any other tournaments as and when required by the College or University. Applicant is required to meet a minimum CGPA of 2.5 every semester and maintain their sports achievement at State or National level.

SEGi University Student Life

With a vibrant community of diverse groups, international and local students, Segi University hostel campus strives best to suffice the comfort of students. Students are encouraged live closer to the main campus, live in shared rooms available at the Segi University, which may differ in being partly or fully furnished according to the Segi University hostel accommodation fee. In order to provide a holistic environment, develop the students’ persona, there are career development programmes, counsellors, as well as support and wellness around the Segi University hostel. Students are involved in different sports club, activities as well as organizations to engage in extracurricular activities. More than 100 SEGi Enrichment Programmes in the areas of leadership, communication, and grooming skills (among others) to enhance students’ learning experience. In addition, there are academic skill unit as well as Mentor mentee system, to provide ultimate guidance and fosterhood to students in a constructive manner, catalysing future of Segi University career opportunities for students.

SEGi University Admission Process

There are essentially three (3) steps to the application process. The following procedures are to be adhered to when applying for a programme with SEGI university:

STEP 1

• International students are advised to read the requirements for admission carefully and ensure all information submitted is complete.Obtain an International Application Form from SEGi International Office, SEGi International Agent.
• Complete the form and attach the following documents: International students applying from country of origin (New applicants) To apply, please make payment of RM2,700 for application and student visa processing fee;
  8 recent passport sized photographs (4cm X 5.5cm) with name and passport number written on the reverse side;
  Certified true copies of all academic qualifications;
  One (1) full set of photocopy of your passport – include all pages, including blank pages. (The passport must have a validity period of at least 12 months); An updated resume (for purposes of MBA programme applications only); English translations of all documents submitted; and Completed Medical Report International students applying within Malaysia (Transfer student) To register, please make payment RM2,700 for application and student visa processing fee; together with all documents from (b) to (g) listed above; Offer letter will be issued by SEGi University/ SEGi College; Request for the following documents from recent college institution and ensure that all documents are CERTIFIED TRUE COPIES by the college/ institution; Release letter; Attendance record; Result slip or academic transcripts or certificates.
• The documents shall be mailed or couriered to respective campuses listed on the Application Form.
• Initial fee payment RM2,700, inclusive of application fee and student visa processing, payable by telegraphic transfer or bank draft to respective campus Bank details found on Application Form.

STEP 2

Upon receipt of application form, required fees and relevant supporting documents, as explained above, SEGi will post and email a copy of the Letter of Acceptance to the students if the International Student meets the entry requirements. SEGi International Student Department will submit the documents to the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Immigration Department to begin processing the Visa Approval Application.

STEP 3

When SEGi International Office has received the required fees i.e. have been credited into SEGi’s bank account via Telegraphic Transfer or Bank Draft, it will courier the original Letter of Acceptance and the Original Visa Approval Letter to the eligible international student
