Teaching system
The curriculum for General Medicine (M.D equivalent to M.B.B.S), Dentistry, and Pharmacy are
righteously extensive and updated. Each subject begins with the studying of the disease and
emphasis is laid on epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, pathological physiology, pathological
morphology, clinical picture, methods of laboratory and instrumental examination of a patient,
diagnoses, differential diagnoses, complication, prognosis, treatment, and prevention. Latin terms
are given according to the International Nomenclature of different specialties. During the period
of training, students are taught special subjects: in succession, they learn theoretically (from
1st to 3rd year) and clinical fundamentals (from 4th to 6th year) and acquire necessary practical
skills. Every stage of training builds a foundation to climb up to the next level.
The teaching process includes the approach, beginning with lectures proceeded by laboratory and
practical work at hospitals along with an in-depth examination of patients, clinical duties, etc.
Along with meticulous teaching equal emphasis is laid on colloquial, tests, quizzes, examinations,
state examinations, final Interdisciplinary tests, oral answers, laboratory and written works,
MCQ-tests, recording of case histories also form the part of day-to-day activity.

University as per their choice. The number of rooms is limited; therefore, early applications are
given priority.
Off-campus apartment rent amounts depend on the location, size, and condition of the apartment. The
apartments offered for rent are furnished and supplied with furniture and basic household
appliances (refrigerator, TV, telephone). Family stay options are also available for students who
want to experience Russian culture firsthand. The best choice in terms of improving language
proficiency is by staying with a host family.
Students Life At Kazan State Medical University
Kazan State Medical University offers great attention to students life. The University conducts
athletic programs for the students. During the vacations, the students are provided with relaxation
in the camp “Medic”, which is situated in the forest on the banks of the Volga River. There is a

What are the entry dates for those who have successfully enrolled?
The entry dates for those who enroll in September start from 15th August. They may vary
from year to year. Please do not worry if your invitation does not arrive within a
specified timeframe. Even if you are scheduled to arrive later, you will be provided an
opportunity to go through entrance exams.
The entry dates for those who enroll in the Preparatory School program in February start
from 5th February.

No. There is no way to speed up the registration process.

I found a specialization that interests me, but there is no such
specialization in the online application form. What's the problem here?
Kazan Federal University has three campuses – in Kazan, Yelabuga, and Naberezhnye Chelny.
The online application form covers only the Kazan Campus.
Am I allowed to work in Russia with a student visa?
