Assiut University was founded in 1957 as Upper Egypt's first university. The University Logo consists of a coat of arms with the Sun disc (Akhenaton's slogan representing Ancient Egypt) in the middle, illuminating the university's name printed in standard Kofi scripts (symbolizing the Arab era). Sunbeams in the shape of hands extend out with benevolence from the Sun, while the letters that make up the university's name tower in splendor towards the light.

Eligibility To Study MBBS In Assiut University

Students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria given below for taking admission in the MBBS at the Assuit Medical University-

• The student should have completed the age of 17 years or shall complete 17 years before admission year.
• The applicant must have 70% in PCB in the 12th standard for the general category.
• Reserved category students required an aggregate of 40% marks for taking admission.
• NEET exam qualification.
• Students must have a good command of English.
