It also asks university representatives on the performance of universities, and evaluates university resources, teacher salaries, graduation rates, student academic achievements and satisfaction. After calculating and comparing these criteria, U.S. News ranks the top international universities accordingly. Lodz medical University ranking has improved in the past years and would continue to grow further.

The programs are recognised by educational commission for foreign medical graduates because of lodz medical University ranking. ACCOMMODATION

The University provides housing on campus in two dormitories/residence halls. Here you will feel at home with helpful English speaking staff and your fellow students who will help you in the orientation process as well as with your Polish.

The majority of teaching departments are located in the dorm’s vicinity. Other university departments or clinics are available by public transport.

Please note:
All of the first year students should contact Ms Aleksandra Dastych to book a room in the dormitory for the academic year 2019/20

Rooms can be booked only by those students who have received the Letter of Acceptance.
Those who prefer to live outside the campus will be provided with a list of private flat renting agencies.

Lodz medical University admission procedure

Application process step by step :
  • Go to the UMED Registration Portal : https://registration.umed.lodz.pl/
  • Register yourself. You password must contain at least 8 characters. If you forget your password, please contact the Admission Team at [email protected]
  • Choose the application for the program of your interest.
  • Fill in the proper application form step by step.
  • Check it carefully once you have filled in all sections.
  • Click the “submit button. Please keep in mind that after submitting your data, you will no longer be able to change it.
  • You will automatically be redirected to the next part of application : Files. The files icon should appear on your personal panel.
  • Click on the files icon and upload the scanned copies of the required documents. Documents should be in the JPEG or PDF format only. The required format of the passport photo is JPEG.
  • Click the “accept all documents” button after uploading all the required documents.
  • The next stage belongs to the Admission Team : the Admission Committee will verify your documents to check if you meet the admission criteria.
  • You will receive an e-mail from the Admission Office with their decision and instructions on how to proceed further.
  • After you pass the first step of the procedure (documents verification) and make the application fee payment (120 EUR) and once your status is changed to eligible for entrance exam” you will see the “skype exam button in your personal panel.
  • Click the “skype exam button and sign up for the exam by selecting the most convenient date and time.
  • Once you have successfully signed up, an e-mail containing all the information regarding the exam will be sent to you.
  • You will be notified about the exam result by the Admission Team via e-mail.
  • After you successfully pass the entrance exam, you will be instructed by the Admission Team on how to proceed in order to receive the Letter of Acceptance.
  • Receiving the official Letter of Acceptance is the final step and the confirmation of your acceptance to MUL.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Application Form- filled in, downloaded from the on-line registration system, and printed. Then signed by the Applicant. All check boxes should be marked by hand again and answers specified when required.

High School Diploma/school leaving certificate (original copy legalized or with an Apostille³ stamp*), which entitles for admission to universities in the country it was issued.

Certificate from the Ministry of Education or the Polish Consulate in the country the secondary/high school was completed, stating that the candidate is entitled for admission to higher education institutions (if such clause is not available on the school leaving documents).

English language certificate for non-native English speakers.

Hepatitis B Immunization Clearance ( a series of three shots required).

Passport photocopy.

2 recent passport photographs signed on the back.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

My studies were in English, do I still have to provide a language certificate?

Generally, not. In some cases, it is required to arrange a Skype interview with the Faculty Coordinator. It is important for us to know what country you studied in and make sure you write a good Cover Letter.

Will you pay back the administrative fee of 20 EUR to me if I do not get a VISA?

This administrative fee is non-reimbursable.

Can I pay the administrative fee from my friend’s bank account?

Yes, provided the payment description includes your name and a chosen study programme.

Can I pay the equivalent of the administrative fee or tuition fee in dollars?

No. Our account receives payments in Euro.

I have just paid the administrative and tuition fee and sent you the proof of payment. When can I expect my Confirmatiuon Letter to be issued?

We will issue the Confirmation Letter after the payment reaches the University of Lodz’s bank account. This takes a little bit of a procedure, so the Letter can be issued in about a week, or up to 10 days. Please wait for the message.

What happens after I make the payment for 1 academic year and I will not get a VISA from the Polish Embassy?

If you pay a tuition fee for the first year of your studies and then fail to get a Polish visa, the tuition fee will be fully reimbursed (repaid) to you in the fall of the calendar year.

Can I legally work in Poland as a student?

Yes, you can work as a full-time student. You do not need any extra work permits if you are a student of full-time, daytime university studies (including doctoral studies) in Poland. (Dz.U. – Journal of Laws, Year 2015, item 588 – Section 1 (10)).

Are there any job restrictions (hours etc.)?

No. If you find time, you can work the same amount of hours as a regular employee: i.e. up to 40 hours in a five-day working week but studies might be quite intense so we do not suggest starting full-time job during first year studies.

I want to ask you about the cover letter. Do I have to write my name and everything about me and why I want to study there?

Yes, preferably. Most Faculties require a cover letter to make their initial decision
