Formed in 1841, Bogomolets National Medical University was formed as one of the best medical universities in Ukraine. Historically the university has had many names dating back to the oldest faculty of Vilnius Academy in 1579, the Imperial University of Vilnius in 1803, although the official foundation happened in 1841 when the medical faculty at Imperial St. Volodymyr University in Kyiv was opened on its basis. It was in 1921 that it received the status of the Kyiv Medical Institute.

The Institute was given the name of the President of Academy of Sciences of UkrSSR O.O. Bogomolets in 1946 and 1995 was when the Institute received the status of the Bogomolets National Medical University. About Kyiv City

Bogomolets National Medical University Ranking/Accreditation

Bogomolets National Medical University ranking was accredited with the status of higher education establishment with IV (fourth) accreditation level according to the decision of state accreditation commission, dated 10th June 2003. Bogomolets National Medical University is accredited to train international students in Russian and English medium in majors of general medicine, dentistry, and Pharmacy. It is the only university in Ukraine that is a registered member of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) that builds interdisciplinary collaborations. Admission at Bogomolets National Medical University for Indian students Eligibility Criteria

• No requirement in India for IELTS/SAT etc.
• The student must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a regular board or university.
• Students must be 17 years or more as of 31st December of the year in which the admission is being taken.
• The student must be of Indian nationality.
• Students must have scored an aggregate of at least 50% at their 12th standard in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry and must have English as a compulsory subject if the student is from the General category.

• From 2019 onwards, it has been made compulsory to clear the NEET exam for admission to any country abroad.
