North East Medical College is a prestigious Private Medical College located in South Surma Pamila, on the southern fringes of Sylhet, Bangladesh. It was established in 1998. It is acknowledged as the best Medical College in Sylhet and one of the eminent medical colleges in Bangladesh.

The College is chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Afzal Miah with Prof. Dr. Shahriar Hossain Chowdhury as Managing Director and Principal leading a dynamic team of excellent professors and staff. Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) has approved its MBBS degree.

The academic campus of the college covers around 6 acres in the South Surma region. The campus of North East Medical College was built in 1999 and soon in 2002, an 800-bedded multi-specialty hospital was built.
