Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (abbreviated DMCH) is a public medical college and hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital city. On one campus, there is a medical school as well as a tertiary care hospital. Due to India's partition in 1946, all advanced students (from K-4 to K-1) as well as many lecturers and professors were transferred from Calcutta Medical College to the newly established Dhaka Medical College to begin academic studies and maintain hospital facilities.
