Age

To pursue any course in the aviation industry to become Pilot such as CPL, PPL, ATPL, you must be minimum of 18 years old and it goes up to 35 years old depending on the ranks and airlines.

Academics

To pursue any course in the aviation industry to become a pilot such as CPL, ATPL, PPL, you must have Secondary School and Higher Secondary School passing certificates from a valid educational board.

Health

To pursue any course in the aviation industry to become a pilot such as CPL, ATPL, PPL, you must be physically and mentally fit. You must have a class-1 or class-2 medical certificate validated by the aviation authority during the admission. For some courses specific requirements such as vision and hearing health certificates are required.

Communication

To pursue any course in the aviation industry to become a pilot such as CPL, ATPL, PPL, you must be fluent in English. All the courses, training modules and Training instructions will be in English Thus, you must read, write, speak and understand clearly. For some courses they conduct tests to evaluate your communication skills.

Experience

To pursue any course in the aviation industry to become a pilot such as CPL, ATPL, PPL, you must complete minimum flight hours, along with internships and sessions with various aircrafts.
 

Description

Eligibility For Private Pilot License

  • To obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL), you must be at least 17 years old, and hold a secondary school certificate from a recognized board.
  • You must clear Class 2 medical examination approved by a government-authorized aviation medical examiner and Basic English language proficiency is required, as all aviation communication is conducted in English.
  • You must complete 40 to 60 hours of flight training, depending on the flying school and national aviation regulations, and must also obtain a valid Student Pilot License (SPL) before undertaking solo flights during PPL training.

Eligibility For Commercial Pilot Training

  • To obtain a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), you must be at least 18 years old, although CPL training can begin at 17 years, with the license issued only upon reaching the legal age.
  • You must have secondary and higher secondary school certificates verified by the government, with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects and a valid Class 1 medical certificate, issued and approved by the aviation authority, is mandatory to ensure physical and mental fitness.
  • You must also meet ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 4 or higher and complete a minimum of 200 flight hours, including required solo and cross-country flying, to be eligible for a CPL.

Eligibility For Airline Transport Pilot License:

  • To be eligible for an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), you must be 21 years of age or older, although training may begin earlier, with the license issued only upon meeting the age requirement.
  • To be eligible for an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL),you must hold a valid, government-issued Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine endorsement.
  • A current Class 1 medical certificate is mandatory to confirm physical and mental fitness and you must also complete a minimum of 1,500 flight hours, including Pilot-in-Command, cross-country, night, instrument, and multi-engine flying.
