Nantong University
Nantong Medical University was founded by Zhang Jian in 1912, and its predecessor was a private medical school in Nantong. It is one of the first medical schools in China. In 1927, it was transformed into Nantong Medical College, and in 1928 it was renamed Nantong University Medical College consisting of a combination of three agricultural, textile and medical schools. Nantong University is one of the universities offering the MBBS program approved by the Department of Education of the People's Republic of China.
Nantong is a comprehensive university formed by the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the country's Department of Transport. It consists of three campuses, Nantong Medical College, Nantong Engineering College and Nantong Normal College and has four campuses: a new campus, a Qixiu campus, a Zhongxiu campus and a Qidong campus.

Nantong University International School was established in January 2010 and there are about 300 students overseas at the school. As a large university with a history of over ninety years.
